Our mission is to benefit the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families through individual and family support, education, community awareness, and advocacy.
Your donation makes a difference. Every donation provides opportunities and support for individuals with Down syndrome. Your donation creates opportunities for social connections, education, and community awareness that all individuals with Down syndrome and their families belong in our community.
In 2022 we provided 187 programs including classes, webinars, and group programs. Through these programs we reached 917 individuals with Down syndrome and 741 adult caregivers/parents of an individual with Down syndrome or educators who work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, and 230 siblings.
Through our First Call program, we receive calls from new families when they first receive a Down syndrome diagnosis. We are able to respond to their calls within 24 hours and provide them comfort, reassurance, resources, and an opportunity to connect with other families who walked this same journey years before. One family shared with us that talking to us was, "the first time we felt like we we're going to be okay" since first learning of the diagnosis. Your support helps us provide this reassurance and connection to families in a time of critical need.
